The difference isn't that big but 'em' and other kinds of softer sounds (this is from a Finnish speaker's viewpoint) are more common in Portuguese than Spanish. Instead of 'de' there's 'da or do, which are never used in Spanish. Lots of other differences, too, but those are the easiest to spot even if you don't understand a word.
