- Spring has sprung, the grass is riz,
I wonder where the birdies is!
April Fool's day. Did you fall for it?
This is the month when avid gardeners start to plan and dream about their landscapes. They begin to haunt garden centres and ponder when to plant seedlings, and can be heard discussing whether to go for a showy floral garden or a vegetable patch.
Also appropriate that Earth Day is on the 22 April. Are you turning your lights out for an hour?
Oh, and what about the lovely pastime of spring cleaning? (tongue in cheek!) Mark April 7 on your calendar - no housework day!
But there is a certain joy in clearing out all the cobwebs, and throwing sparkling clean windows open to the spring air.
And April is when the tax man visits! Another pleasant task!
But remember April showers bring May flowers!
